PORT of Shanghai posted a four per cent increase in container throughput of 2.82 million TEU in April, while overall tonnage went up 4.6 per cent to 66.28 million tonnes.
Import container volume grew 5.8 per cent to 1.37 million TEU while export boxes throughput increased 2.3 per cent to 1.46 million TEU.
Inbound shipments increased 3.7 per cent in tonnage to 40.41 million tonnes while outbound shipments climbed six per cent to 25.87 million tonnes. Asian Shipper News |
