CMA CGM hikes Asia-Europe, Mideast, Africa, Latin Americas rates in July
MARSEILLES-based container shipping line CMA CGM, the world's third largest, has announced it will raise rates on a wide range of trades from Asia to Europe, the Middle East and Latin America from July 1.
Increases include one US$275 per TEU increase from Asia (including Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) to northern Europe.
There will be another rate hike from Asia to the east and west coasts of South America, Central America and Mexico of $500 per TEU.
Another will be applied from Asia to the Caribbean and Panama: $490 per TEU and $700 per FEU, as well as an increase of $200 per TEU on cargo from Asia to Mozambique.
From northern Europe to the Gulf Coast of Mexico, there will be a $150 per TEU increase as well as $225 per FEU hike.
There will be a $150 per TEU increase on cargo from northern Europe to the Caribbean and Central America and another $150 hike on cargo from Europe to the west coast ofSouth America.
From Pakistan and India to Europe, there will be a $250 per TEU increase as well as a $500 per FEU hike. From the Arabian Gulf to Europe, there will be a $150 per TEU increase and an extra $225 per FEU applied on the same trade lane. Asian Shipper News |
