German ocean carrier Hapag-Lloyd will impose a congestion surcharge on all cargo moving to and from the Port of Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The carrier’s surcharge of $75 per 20-foot equivalent unit will take effect July 23 on all non-U.S. routes and Aug. 10 on the U.S.-related trades.
The carrier last month issued a trade notice that it was temporarily suspending “acceptance of shipments” destined for Riyadh via DammamPort.
