Maersk Line will seek a general rate increase on cargo shipped from the Indian subcontinent and the Middle East to Europe, effective Sept. 1.
The planned increase will be $200 per 20-foot and $400 per 40-foot container.
The increase comes in addition to a $250 per-TEU rate hike the Denmark-based carrier implemented on the same route that came into effect July 1.
