ZIM announced realignment of ZCS service

The ZCS realignment will create two separate strings, ZCS Pacific and ZCS Atlantic. The new structure is part of the comprehensive strategic plan that enhances Zim’s responsiveness to global market conditions

 - ZCS-Pacific (ZCP): The Pacific string of ZCS will deploy 9 x TEU 5,000 vessels in the following routing:
Savannah – New York – Halifax – Kingston – Los Angeles – Oakland – Ningbo – Shanghai – Pusan – Balboa – Kingston – Savannah

- ZCS-Atlantic (ZCA): The Atlantic string of ZCS will deploy 6 x ~ TEU 4,000 vessels in the following routing:
Haifa – Piraeus – Genova – Tarragona – New York – Savannah – Kingston – Tarragona – Haifa

Zim said the realignment would shorten transit times and improve long term schedule reliability on these key East-West routes.
