Etihad Cargo and Atlas Air Worldwide are partnering on a new round-the-world freighter service. The jointly-operated service connects Etihad Cargo’s Abu Dhabi hub with locations on four continents, including Hong Kong, Chicago, Miami, Quito, Amsterdam, and Viracopos, Brazil. Earlier in May, Etihad Cargo signed a multi-year aircraft, crew, maintenance and insurance agreement with Atlas Air to provide the Boeing 747-8F used on the service. In June, Etihad Cargo will add Sao Paulo, Brazil, to its network, with bellyhold cargo capability on a new passenger service between that city and Abu Dhabi. The Journal of Commerce |
