Hawaiian further upgrading Sydney route

Building on this week’s frequency boost on the Sydney-Honolulu route, which takes services to daily, Hawaiian Airlines has announced that it will upgrade to A330-200 aircraft in May next year.

Flights are currently operated with B767-300ER equipment.

Hawaiian has five A330s in service at present and will add more of the aircraft by mid-2012. As well as upgrading current routes, the expanded A330 fleet will allow Hawaiian to launch new services such as Honolulu-New York which starts June 4. A third daily flight will be added on the Honolulu-Los Angeles route (previously seasonal), starting 07 June.
