FedEx halts Tokyo deliveries

Logistics giant FedEx Corporation says it has temporarily stopped accepting shipments for Tokyo's Narita airport in Japan, while other airlines have begun checking for radiation on aircraft returning from Japan.

Other carriers have cancelled services to the country.

The FedEx decision was prompted by a lack of power and fuel, preventing deliveries in eastern Japan, a FedEx spokesman said.
